I’ve always loved station platforms. Semi-open to the elements, with those disappearing parallel lines. People in transit, or waiting for it.

Lancaster station doesn’t disappoint on a Saturday morning. There’s always a good vibe, with people heading off to Manchester Airport for their holidays, or day trippers bound for Liverpool, Manchester, London,  who knows.

There’s usually a cowboy hat or two to be seen as well. This particular group of lads were on their way to Liverpool for Mario’s stag do.

Within those parallels, I wanted to capture the fun. That moment when the party starts to come together, the moment before it really begins. The anticipation, the surprise of who’s going as what, and that brief moment when the group becomes a party.
